University Preparation Charter School will be using COVID funds issued from the State & Federal Government to provide free transportation for our students to the Boys & Girls Club for the 2023-2024 school year only. This is for parents interested in daily, after school, bussing from our school site, 1099 Bedford Drive, Camarillo to the Boys and Girls Club located at 1500 Temple Avenue, Camarillo, CA for the 2023-2024 school year. To participate in the bussing program, you must do the following steps in order. Space is limited both at the club and on the bus, so we encourage you to complete all of the steps as soon as possible.
Step One: Registration
You must register your child(ren) at the Boys & Girls Club located at 1500 Temple Ave., Camarillo, CA 93010. The club requires an updated 2023-2024 membership form for any youth participating in our program. Registration forms can be found on the Boys & Girls Club website, or you can pick one up at their Camarillo location. UPCS will pay current student membership fees for the 2023-2024 school year only. Memberships are eligible August 2023 – August 2024.
Step Two: Bussing Paperwork
Once we have confirmed your child’s registration with the Boys & Girls Club, we will contact you through parent square with bussing permission forms to fill out. If you do not receive the permission forms within 3 days after registering your child(ren), you will need to contact Sonia at stapia@pleasantvalleysd.org. Please remember, it is your responsibility to follow up with the Boys & Girls Club & University Preparation Charter School to confirm your child(ren) is registered.
Step Three: Confirmation Letter
Once the bussing permission forms are received, I will send you a confirmation letter through parent square stating that your child is fully registered to ride the bus. If you have any questions, please email Sonia Tapia at stapia@pleasantvalleysd.org If you do not receive a confirmation letter, your student will not be allowed to ride the bus.
