Miss. Masterson and Sra. Cachu
2nd/3rd grade Dual Language -Spanish
Sra. CachuWelcome to our new school year! I want to introduce myself, my name is Melissa Cachu-Caro, but I prefer to be called Sra. Cachú. This summer I spent some time as the Summer School administrator for two weeks. My summer was full of pool time, beaches and grad school work. My great adventure this summer was going camping to Coarsegold, near Yosemite for 4 days. It has been a busy 2 months. This is my seventh year at UPS and my tenth year teaching. I am thrilled to continue working at this amazing school. I came from Ventura Unified; where I taught for several years and different grades ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade. I received my bachelors of Liberal Studies and one in Spanish at Azusa Pacific University. I then went on to get my credential at our home school CSUCI. Currently I am in the graduate program at Grand Canyon University online for a masters in administration.I am very excited to work with you and your child this year!Miss Masterson
My name is Andi Masterson (Miss Masterson) and I have the pleasure of teaching your child this year! While this is my first year as a full-time teacher at this school, I am not new to the UPCS family. Last year I spent four months as a long-term substitute in a K-1 class at UPCS. I also worked as a summer school teacher at UPCS this past summer where I enjoyed teaching science to kindergarten and first graders. I am thrilled to be teaching second and third graders in room 2 this year!
I am originally from Orange County, but moved to Camarillo in 2011. I am a graduate of CSU Channel Islands where I also received my teaching credential. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year!
