Welcome to our new school year! I want to introduce myself. My name is Melissa Cachú-Caro, but I prefer to be called Sra. Cachú. This summer I spent my time working as an administrator for summer school, going to the beach, reading, visiting amusement parks, and camping. It was a busy summer!
This is my thirteenth year at UPCS and my sixteenth year of teaching. I am thrilled to continue working at this amazing school. It is so great to loop with students and get to know them better. One of the best feelings as a teacher is to watch their learning grow over the span of two years.
I received my bachelor's in Liberal Studies and one in Spanish at Azusa Pacific University. I then went on to get my teaching credential at our home school, CSUCI. I recently completed my Master's in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University.
I am very excited about working with you and your child this year!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Muench (pronounced “Minch”)! I am excited to begin my fourth year teaching here at UPCS and feel honored to be partners with Sra. Cachú. A little bit about me, my husband, Alex, my 5-year-old son, Hudson, and I love to travel, go swimming, and attend sporting events. Our family is growing, as we are expecting a baby girl in December.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU, Channel Islands. I worked as a Registered Behavioral Technician in the school setting for five years before getting my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s in Education.
I look forward to working with you and getting to know your child. It will be an exciting year full of learning, growth, and support.
