Sra. CachúWelcome to our wild new school year! I want to introduce myself, my name is Melissa Cachú-Caro, but I prefer to be called Sra. Cachú. This summer I spent my time going to the beach, reading, visiting amusement parts, giving Spanish classes on zoom, and camping. This summer was all about recovery and relaxation. This is my eleventh year at UPCS and my fourteenth year of teaching. I am thrilled to continue working at this amazing school. I'm excited for this year and can't wait to see everyone in person!I received my bachelor's of Liberal Studies and one in Spanish at Azusa Pacific University. I then went on to get my credential at our home school CSUCI. I recently completed my Master's in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University.I am very excited to work with you and your child this year!
Hello, Families! My name is Mrs. Hillendahl. A little about me, I have been at UPCS for quite a while now. Whether it be teaching or volunteering in a class you can always find me on campus. I have an eleven-year-old daughter and a three-year-old son, Lina, and Landon. My husband, Kyle, and I love to be active with them any chance we get. You can find us at the beach most days.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on special education from CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI) in 2016 and received my Multiple Subject Teaching credential a year later at CSUCI. I plan to further my education by getting a master’s degree in education.
I am thrilled to be partnering with Sra. Cachu again this year. I am looking forward to working with your child and getting to know them in person and helping them succeed in their education.
