Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year
I am excited to begin my 5th year here at UPCS, and my first year on the middle school campus!
I am a southern California native, born and raised in Torrance, California. I spent 17 years of my adult life living in New England in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. While I loved living in the Northeast, I am very happy to be back in California, and love calling Port Hueneme my home!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, and my Master of Science degree in Special Education at Bay Path University in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Prior to moving back to California and teaching 4th & 5th grade at UPCS, I had the opportunity to teach for 8 years in Springfield, Massachusetts in grades K, 1, 2, and 4.
When I actually find myself with some free time I enjoy many activities including spending time with my family, going to Disneyland, traveling, reading a good book, enjoying the beach, or doing arts and crafts.
My goal as a math/science teacher is to create a meaningful, interactive, hands-on, and fun learning environment where students can grow and thrive both academically and socially.
I am very excited for this new school year and hope you are too!
