Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!

My name is Heather Gout and I will be working with Maestra Sandra this year to teach Transitional Kindergarten. 

A little bit about myself...

For my education background, I first attended Cal State University, Northridge and earned my BA in Psychology. Next, I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Los Angeles. Finally, I pursued my Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction and studied Early Childhood Education at Cal State Fullerton. I have been teaching for 23 years in grades Kinder-3rd. This will be my 18th year at UPCS teaching in the Dual Language program. 

I love the family community of our school. In fact, my two daughters, Madison and Makenna, are both former UPCS students. Makenna is now a senior in high school and Madison is in her second year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. My husband and I are very proud of them! As a family, we love to travel and spend time together.

I look forward to an amazing school year with our Sea Turtles!
