Please let me introduce myself. My name is Lauren Reynolds and I live here in Camarillo with my wonderful husband, Chad my 4 year old son Jackson, and my 2 year old daughter Hailey. We also have two dogs, Ricky and Lucy (named after my favorite show, I Love Lucy). I knew I wanted to be a teacher at a very young age because I have always had a passion for learning. I've always loved sports and have played basketball from 4th grade all through college. I attended California Lutheran University and fell in love with the small, community oriented campus. I'm thrilled to be teaching at UPCS because I think we have a wonderful set of staff and students. We have a sports theme in the classroom this year because I think it is important for kids to learn that they can achieve whatever they set their minds to with hard work and dedication.
My goal is to create interesting and meaningful lessons that teach kids to investigate, evaluate and problem solve. It is also a goal of mine to make sure parents play an active role in their child's eduction. I encourage all parents to reach out, ask questions and take advantage of the many opportunities there will be to come volunteer in the classroom. This year we recieved brand new chrome books. Students will have their own chrome book and will become familiar with Google Classroom, Achieve3000 and more! I know that if we work together, this year will be a great success!
