Mrs. Gout
Hello and welcome to the 2020-21 school year! This is my 14th year working at UPCS. Before coming to UPS, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Masters degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction. This is my 21st year teaching in grades K-3. I am also a parent of two girls, Madison and Makenna. Both of my girls have gone through our school's dual language program.
Sra. A and I have been working together in K/1 for the past 8 years. We are a great team and love what we do!

Sra. Alargunsoro-Ryerson
Welcome! I received a B.A. in Human Development in 2002 from UC San Diego. My focus of study was language and brain development. During my time at UCSD, I interned with the Project in Cognitive and Neural Development and assisted in bilingual brain research. After moving back to Ventura County I pursued my multiple subject teaching credential from CSU Channel Islands in 2004. I have worked at University Preparation School since 2004 as a Specialist, a Team Teacher, and a teacher in both the language enrichment program and the dual language program. I received my Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University in 2014. This is my 13th year teaching Spanish in the dual-language program. I have two boys, Phoenix and Leonidas, and one girl, Persephone.
